Yesterday we discussed the history and meaning behind Cinco de Mayo. Let’s have some fun today and plan a delicious and entertaining menu to join in the festivities.
I’ve seen so many fun pins for ideas on how to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with food and drink, over on Pinterest. Here are some of my favourites so far.
Hola, bienvenida a mi casa. Vamos a celebrar el Cinco de Mayo. ¡Es una fiesta!
First, let’s have a welcome drink… or shot.
We can’t start off the celebration without a favourite Mexican tequila. Try making these with some Don Julio Tequila. Mexican born Don Julio Gonzalez-Frausto Estrada began distilling tequila in 1942 at age 17!
Appetizers are up next. There are so many to choose from…
You should be able to find more than one item from this list that you’d enjoy. Some options include creamy guacamole, ceviche, black bean dip, roasted shrimp and corn salsa. Check out the link.
Oh my, is it time for another drink?
Try a Margarita from the pitcher at our table.
Only the best for you, our guests.
Now it’s time for the main course…
I have been craving enchiladas recently. Recipes and pictures like this one taunt me with their gooey, cheesy, spicy goodness.
Time for another drink you say?
Taking a break from all the alcohol? Or perhaps looking for something the underage party guests can have? Try this virgin variation on the classic margarita.
And what dinner party would be complete without desert?
I hope you enjoyed feasting at this Cinco de Mayo party! Are you celebrating Cinco de Mayo by doing anything special this weekend?
Lovely post! 😃I will for sure be sipping a margarita for Cinco de Mayo!!ðŸ¹
Oh yes. Lol
This is a great post Kim, and I really appreciate you sharing all these yummy-looking recipes!
I wish I could make them all. Lol.
