Reblog: Hiking to Colombia’s Tallest Waterfall, “La Chorrera”

Less than one hour away from the busy cultural centre of Bogota, runs… or rather falls, the country’s tallest waterfall, La Chorrera.

La Chorrera is the sixth tallest waterfall in all of Latin America and is a must see for visitors to Colombia, especially those who’d enjoy a not too arduous hike. The scenery is breath-taking and the main attraction, worthy of its hype.  Along the way, hikers pass a smaller waterfall, El Chiflon, and upon arrival at La Chorrera, many enjoy a climb down to cool off in its spray.

Travel blogger, Eric, wrote about his experience visiting La Chorrera over at his blog, ezmoments.  You should head over to his site to see his gorgeous pictures, taken along the hike to La Chorrera and to get his advice on how to approach the trip!

I love this place. I visited Eric’s page as you requested and was amazed that we share some of the same pictures. In exploring more of your site I was unaware of who you are. I continue to try the Espanol. Thanks for having that page. Continue your great feeds and I will always look forward to reading as they are posted, John.
