Think you know potatoes???

Chile and Peru both battle it out to be known as the birthplace of the potato.  There is, however, scientific evidence that potatoes were domesticated as early as 10,000 years ago in the High Andes of southeastern Peru and northwestern Bolivia.

    That is so interesting. Usually, when a person mentions potatoes, I think of Idaho or at the very most Ireland. I had no idea that they originated in South America.

      Yup. I knew there were several varieties but thousands???!!! Lol. Although some look so very very very different from anything I would think to label a potato!
