The phenomenon of ‘raining’ animals (or even objects like coins and hazelnuts) is one that has occurred throughout history and has been explained as nuances of meteorology, marine activity or even migratory patterns.  Whatever the reason behind it, every year in Yoro, the storms come and then the fish arrive.  Check out this New York Times article.
